Can’t aBiden that choice…

OK, let’s pretend that there really are 2 political parties in this country and that our votes actually matter.

If you are an Obama fan (read liberal, young and hip mainly) you have totally bought into the ‘A Vote for ME is a vote for Change!’ and ‘things will be different and so much better , I am your saviour!’
The entire country waits with baited breath for his first big decision as a leader, picking his VP.
Then the word comes down and the pick is someone that has done nothing in his life except be a Senator? Pretty much the most ‘anti-change’ guy he could have picked!
Not only that, but remember back towards the beginning of the primaries when there was a flap when someone made a very thinly veiled racsist remark towards Obama , calling him ‘clean and well-spoken?’

Remember who said that? Yep. His newest best buddy, Joe Biden.
So, the Veep Obama picks is :

1. The guy in his own party that made the most blatant racist remark about him. Add to that several other racial statements made about his state of Delaware: We were a “slave state that fought beside the North. That’s only because we couldn’t figure out how to get to the South. There were a couple of states in the way.”
2. A guy that voted for the Iraq War, and has fostered the war along (pushing the 3 state split of factions which would entail MUCH more involvement with us as well as making that country unrecognizable)
3. A man who has been busted several times for blatantly plagurizing speeches from others (of course didn’t Obama just get hit for that too? I guess they have that in common.)
4. He’s also not popular with Indian-Americans either after this winning quote: “I’ve had a great relationship [with East Indians in America]. In Delaware, the largest growth in population is Indian Americans – moving from India. You cannot go to a 7-11 or a Dunkin’ Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. I’m not joking.” Kind of hard to spin out of it when you finish your statement with ‘I’m not joking.’

It would almost seem that Obama has picked a Veep that has not enhanced his chances at all, and maybe lost him a few votes. Maybe McCain will pick Joe Liberman as his veep so everyone is just totally confused.

Of course this is only if you believe the fairy tale that we have a choice…

I posted about this before, but it still drives me crazy to see groups applying for permits to protest this event or that. GODAMMIT PEOPLE, YOU DO NOT NEED A PERMIT TO EXCERCISE YOUR 1ST AMENDMENT RIGHTS! The Bill of Rights are NOT items that are limited by government! They are GOD-GIVEN RIGHTS that are not to be infringed upon by government EVER! They only get away with it because we let them. This is America, EVERYWHERE is a FREE SPEECH ZONE! The Bill of Rights was written down so that we would be reminded of the things that government shall never be allowed to limit. The entire idea was that if these things were being limited, it would be time to dissolve that government and try again!

Pattern of Exercises

Despite efforts to downplay it in the US media, there is a very dramatic war that has broken out between Georgia and Russia. Reports are coming out now (via the Russian news media) that perhaps American soldiers and/or Mercs (Blackwater) are on the ground ‘advising’, some ‘advising’ to their deaths. Well that sounds like it might be true or just as easily Russian propaganda, on the face of it anyway.

If you go back just a little bit you will see that last month American forces participated in an exercise with Georgia practicing the scenario that is currently unfolding. It was important enough to warrant a visit from Condi Rice to Georgia even (wonder if she got on the plane thinking she was going to the southern state…)

What of it, you might ask. If you look at recent history, there have been two other times widely known that an event of import was practiced just before or DURING the actual event. The two events I am speaking of are Sep 11, 2001 and the 7/7 bombings in London. Both of these events were being practiced (planned months ahead of time) when they actually started. In the case of the 7/7 bombings, an interview was shown with one of the coordinators of the exercise saying ‘We were practicing this at the exact locations so when it happened for real, we had to shift into real world mode right away.’

Of course I am sure this is ALL coincidence, right?

It is also worth noting that while the Western media is spinning coverage to make it sound like Russia is attacking Georgia, what really happened to kick this all off was Georgia attacking South Ossetia and the Russian troops stationed there. Georgia is backed and armed by NATO and the US , as well as Israel. Condi’s visit was probably a green light and a last minute pep talk last month.

What is happening here is a good old fashioned Cold War Proxy battle, like Afghanistan, but in today’s wired world, it is too easy to get the word out on what is really going on.  We thought this was all over with, but seems like we still want to play.

CONJECTURE: Maybe they are tired of the Middle Eastern war taking too long and want to use Russia to kick off the ‘final war?’ Citizens are more likely to back a war with a ‘real’ enemy rather than one with scattered guys in the desert, especially now that the War on Terror is outed as a fraud to the majority of Americans, much less the world.
